Dear all, Two days FOSS workshop was organized by PSNA College of Engineering & Technology, Dindigul Dt. (www.psnacet.edu.in) on 08/10/12 & 09/10/12.
Around 300+ students from the dept. of CSE/IT/MCA attended the workshop. The following topics were covered. * Importance of FOSS, GNU/Linux in engineering education * Mageia GNU/Linux installation * Package Management in Mageia GNU/Linux * Linux filesystem layout * Introduction to make/Makefile * Introduction to FUSE based filesystems * Linux kernel compilation * Linux kernel module programming * Version control system using subversion * GUI programming using Qt I would like to thank the college management and Prof. Hemalatha / Associate Professor-CSE for organizing the workshop.
