The idea was to provide a public view of genesis of discussions, exchange of ideas etc. that precedes before even a line of code in publicly visible archive. That would have been very useful from the students perspective in the sense that it would help filling the gap between learninig n the college and real world. That would have also helped many other members evaluated at least one of the "patterns" of evolution of a project. I would term that as open source. I do not have the energy to spend on yet another mailing list, git/svn and the such. I solicit other members opinion on the matter.
