Yes mate your USB mouse has been detected,

input: HID 413c:3010
as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.3/usb5/5-2/5-2:1.0/input/input4
generic-usb 0003:413C:3010.0002: input,hidraw1: USB HID v1.10 Mouse [HID
413c:3010] on

usb-0000:00:1d.3-2/input0

Now please paste the output of following command,

# grep -5 'input4' /var/log/Xorg.0.log

Thanks,
Mohan R

Hi

sorry to say that the suggested shell command does generate nil output as per
the pasted information

[root@eprints log]# [root@eprints log]# grep -5 'input4' /var/log/Xorg.0.log
[root@eprints log]#
[root@eprints log]#

Hi

The m/c. in trouble is running as a trial server for our organisation's library
repository on CENTOS 6 and it is supposed to be transformed into regular
production server on IBM X server with the same CENTOS 6. As I have been unable
to find solution to the present issue, I am quite reluctant to go ahead with
the CENTOS for regular production service. Hence, I wish to seek epxerts
opinion in this regard from this forum.

with thanx
