Description :
Ns2 is a discrete event simulator targeted at networking research. It
provides substantial support for simulation of TCP, routing and
multicast protocols over wired and wireless (local and satellite)
networks. Despite the presence of other network simulators like OPNET
and Glomosim, ns2 stands as the defacto standard in network research.
Its mandatory for every researcher to know ns2.
Duration :
Around 45 minutes with demo.

About the speaker :
A third year CSE student at SSN College of Engineering, Chennai.
Currently working on : Research in TCP Performance Evaluation in
802.11 networks , Developing a SMB based Network Scanner for the Umit
Project as a Summer of Code Intern.
Volunteer in Bhumi Social Service Foundation. I personally believe
education is the single most powerful tool to solve all problems in
India. I plan to work towards taking technology to the poor.
