Therefore, first you should acquire knowledge in the subject matter, do some work in that area and then go for certification. What is necessary is to show that you have done a couple of projects using the technology (JBOSS in this instance). To do cert. or not is a matter of choice. Cert. or no cert. a competent interviewer will know your depth of knowledge within 5 mins. into the interview. Please see the list archives on for discussion on certification.
