With Netbooks, it is a lottery IMO.

I have a HP mini (May 2009) vintage - Ubuntu 10.04 UNR worked fine on
it.  I wanted to try out KDE 4.5 on my netbook so I tried to install
Kubuntu 10.10.   It does not recognize the embedded ethernet card!
openSUSE 11.3 recognized all devices and installed without problems.
It works fine for most except that it locks up randomly.
