Hi,

*Summary:*

Will be responsible for creating/enhancing/sustaining solutions using
various open source products. He will interact with our technology partners
on one side and our clients/prospects on the other side to design and fine
tune solutions based on the needs of the clients/prospects. He will be a
hands-on person with at least 6 years  of experience, out of which at least
one year in a leadership role. He should be well versed with the open source
market, key technologies and products  in the open source arena,
development/business/licensing models adopted by open source companies etc.
Though, he may not be an open source developer himself, he should be able to
script well in Bash or Perl  or in any other scripting language and have the
ability to read code when necessary and also understand technology choices
adopted by various open source projects well. He will also be responsible
for interacting the engineering teams of our technology partners.

* Here are the broad roles and responsibilites of the Technical Lead:*

- Requirements gathering &  Solutioning
- Enhance existing solutions
- Update our solutions based on the developments in technology and on the
evolution of the key products involved
- Conceptualize, design and develop new solutions based on market needs
- Keep abreast of the developments in the technologies/products we support
- Work with the clients for validating the solutions proposed
- Co-ordinate with the partner contacts for any technical pre sales support
required
- Work with the delivery team to do POCs for the prospects
- Provide training to the delivery teams on the solution stack

* Skills(Required) - Technical*

- Expert level exposure to at least one Linux distribution - Redhat, Suse,
Or Ubuntu
- Scripting - Bash and/or Perl
- Expert level Systems and Network Administration on Linux on a mid-size to
large nertwork with substantial share of Linux. Typically on a network
serving at least 500 users
- Exposure to a wide range of services on Linux - Web Servers, Mail Server,
LDAP Servers, Application Servers, Database Servers etc.
- Good familiarity with the development methodologies followed in open
source
- Open Source licensing practices
- Open Source security tools - Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention,
Malware/Spam prevention/control etc.
- Basic Exposure to Windows Server platforms - Windows 2000/2003/2008,
Active Directory etc.
- Basic exposure to Unix flavors - HP-UX, IBM-AIX, Solaris, SCO, FreeBSD
etc.
- Basic familiarity with Virutalization

* Skills(Required) - Non-Technical*

- Ability to lead and mentor teams
- Training aptittude
- Very good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to deal with customer/partners from multiple geographies

* Skills(Desirable) - Exposure to any or some of the following will be a
definite advantage*

- Programming Languages - C/C++ or Java or PHP or Python or Ruby
- Configuration Management Tools
- Monitoring & Management Tools
- Cloud Computing
