The frequency of such postings is likely to be very low. Creation of another mailing list may not be worthwhile. Besides, one would have to join the mailing list to see the postings there. As I have mentioned in another post, I have not seen such a privilege abused in other LUG mailing lists. Also, if postings for workshops/services and jobs (which are commercial IMO) are OK then this is also OK. I do agree with your comment about where to draw the line (selling the chair RMS sat on); IMO hardware is OK.
