The binary is incompatible with your Fedora install. unetbootin was unable to create LiveUSB for openSUSE 11.1 from the LiveCD. Try this link <http://www.pendrivelinux.com/> for instructions on specific distros. Keep in mind that distros do change the liveCD FS layout. With openSUSE it has become as simple as dd if=LiveCD.iso of=/dev/sdX (where sdX is the pen drive). YMMV with other distros.
