Besides the announcement of India specific, which you probably have to
in all the ILUG lists, what is the USP of this list v/s the other
"global" Debian mailing lists?

I have been using Squeeze (testing) for the past several months and
six months ago I have started installing it in production firewalls -
no issues till date.

Each distro has it's USP - giving us the the freedom of choice.

Mint has two versions - Ubuntu and Debian derivatives.

I have tried LMDE and it looks promising,  I have installed it on my
sis's laptop and so far no complaints from the end user :)   (GNOME
desktop).  From the links you provided, it looks like they have now
released amd64 version also - will give it a spin.
