Kibera in Nairobi, Kenya, widely known as Africa's largest slum has been mapped by mapkibera project http://www.mapkibera.org/ And many more such projects are being pursued and can be pursued by us in our local areas. I believe some work has been done on Mumbai slums . We could do something in chennai for the river Adyar , cooum and its sorrounding areas which are in poverty.
