I too faced the same difficulty - could not exit. I feel sugar is not a good interface for kids. Kids are not stupid. They are very smart and do things that adults cannot do. I find that the sugar interface is built for what Americans think that kids understand. I have seen many parents giving their high funda cellphones to small kids and asking them how to do this or that.
