Hi, Shall we stop here on discussing how to call a FOSS user group in this > thread? > > Linux or GNU/Linux or GNU/Apache/Mozilla/BSD/X/Y/Z/A/B/C/D/Linux ? > > It is coimbore friend's own wish to name their group. > We have given enough links from them to read and proceed. > > It will be nice if we discuss on how can help for forming a FOSS user > group in coimbaore. >
Shrini, I am recording what I think these points that will help to differentiate LUG with glug. It is not just confined to coimbatore friends, this may help any set of people who are willing to form lug and contemplating in naming it as a lug versus glug. My personal opinion is that one needs to adopt homotopic[1] approach between lug and glug. Hope I believe I am in the ambit of good discussion, Shrini, care to explain why this thread should be stopped. regards, Thyagarajan Shanmugham [1]In topology, two continuous functions from one topological space to another are called homotopic (Greek ὁμός (homós) = same, similar, and τόπος (tópos) = place) if one can be "continuously deformed" into the other, such a deformation being called a homotopy between the two functions _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
