AFAIK, Linux is a kernel. What is the distribution? what are you trying to
do with the phone? Trying to connect to the internet or trying to access the
files in your phone? Tell us about the scripts you tried. How is the  phone
connected to the computer? Bluetooth or with the cable? Why don't you try
distribution provided network manager or bluetooth applet?
