Use GNU/Emacs . In emacs there is command to open a shell . Once
inside the shell ( the shell is running inside emacs) all indic
scripts come out fine .
Some emacs tips at http://xahlee.org/emacs/emacs_fun.html

Broken rendering is due to the way the engine draws characters . The
gnome-terminal and konsole unfortunately couldn't display complex
indic characters .
