and from the NRC-FOSS perspective: I have been teaching and training people for the last 45 years - I have toured the best and worst educational institutions from marathadi schools to IIT and JNU. And I have found that there are 3 ingredients to good education. They are: 1. Good teachers 2. Good teachers 3. Good teachers No amount of course material, no amount of lovely syllabus, no amount of equipment will substitute for the above three. and who is a good teacher? not an expert in the subject. not a person who has all the answers - he is a person with a passion for the subject and a mission to instill that passion in his students. if we want to spread foss - the solution is simple. Find the good teachers and convert them. I cannot do it - the 3 people who I have known as good teachers are no longer with us - but you people can. Please do so. -- regards kg http://lawgon.livejournal.com/ _______________________________________________ ILUGC Mailing List: http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
