I am really impressed with guyz like Arul, who are coming from a sub urban and tamil medium school background. Arul corresponds and coordinates his work with Mr.Charles, Maintainer CDAT, Dr. Krishna Achuta Rao, Center for Atmospheric Science, IIT - Delhi. So as referring to these gentlemen, he would have referred 'sir' in the previous context :). nothing more.
