First of all I am not great at time management.

I took more than 8 months to do the two day networking course.

I am able to achieve something in the technical arena due to my focus and
experience spanning 11 years.

I never learn anything when I have a need to.

I learn pro actively and with focus. I am also a poor public speaker as I
stammer.

But I constantly fight against my weakness and try to come out of my
shortcomings.

I have given several technical talks now. So I am effective at public
speaking despite my stammering problem(though how effective
is debatable).

I also fought my lack of knowledge in the technical domain by constant
study, practice and application of knowledge and experience.

Once you fall down many times, you never fear the
possibility of falling down. ;)

I think a complete lack of shyness in learning and improving myself
helped in a big way.

Now when it comes to time management, I don't watch movies, television,
cricket or even read the newspaper.

I spend all my time in programming, learning and physical activity. So that
way I have a big advantage compared to others interested in cricket or
movies or girls.

I think time management will automatically come if you are passionate about
something positive.

If you are passionate about cricket you will not learn time management.

It has to be something that will help you live a better life in the long run.

Hope this helps.
