yum is installed by default on all CentOS installs, as long as they are
done properly. What sort of an install do you have that yum isnt there ?
is that some hacked up VPS or something such ?
Also, i hope you are getting yum on there to do an upgrade - 5.0 is
quite old and there are now, many known issues with it ( like any
software that has been around this long )
