Greetings everyone, It gives me pleasure to announce that Aanjhan Rangathan, researcher at EPFL Switzerland and Sudharshan S, developer for OpenMoko and freesmartphone.org will be presenting talks this Saturday giving an overview of embedded systems design and development.
Talk Details: Aanjhan's talk will cover some basics of hardware design and how the systems are put together, and then move on to insights on embedded operating systems. Details on what goes behind building an embedded system from the OS,to device drivers and application software shall also be discussed. The case under study would be RTEMS - a real time executive for multiprocessor systems (previously missile systems), an operating system widely deployed on various space missions by both NASA and ESA. With Sudharshan's talk on application development, we will move up the embedded system development layers to touch upon, application development with some live demos using the Freerunner Open Mobile phone running the OpenMoko platform and using the D-Bus architecture.
