the existing FAQ mentions a CD for grabs page which does not exist. It also
mentions a form to filled in - which also does not exist. I also find it very
weird that in the year 2009 - 10 years into the so-called web2.0 revolution we
are still being asked to fill in forms and are not allowed to directly interact
with the site. Those of us who develop webapps would be jobless if we proposed
such things to our customers. As promised in the LUG meet I have set up a site
to fulfill these requirements and am yet to understand why this site is being
given step-motherly treatment. The only thing lacking is openid login which
should be up by next week. btw, the site has a cd for grabs page where any
logged in user can add his contribution. And there is no worry about spammers
- adequate protection against them has been put.

In fact in the LUG meet I was asked to wait a day so that ilugc.in could also
be pointed to this site - which is why I put it up on Tuesday instead of
Monday. And to my surprise, my request for comments was replied by an
announcement of ilugc.in is UP! As far as I can see, it does not fulfill any of
the requirements expressed on the mailing list and the meeting - so can you
spell out the reasons for this decision (if they are not top secret of
course)? Maybe I sound a bit emotional, but I strongly feel that hard work for
a cause should be met with constructive criticism - not a slap in the face.
