Hi,

I want to change my monitor resolution to 1600 x 900.

Monitor is SAMSUNG SyncMaster 2033 and OS is Debian Lenny. I installed
it two days back.
Display (text) looks like it is slightly horizontally stretched.

Previously I had XP and 1600 x 900 as resolution. Then it was good.

Now when Debian boots, monitor gives a message as preferred resolution
1600 x 900.

I ran xrandr and got the following:

Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 1600 x 1200, maximum 1600 x 1200
default connected
   1600x1200 0.0
   1400x1050 0.0
   1280x1024 0.0
   1024x768 0.0
   800x600 61.0
   640x480 60.0
   640x400 0.0
   320x400 0.0
   320x240 0.0
   320x200 0.0

/etc/X11/xorg.conf is as follows:

Section "InputDevice"
        Identifier "Generic Keyboard"
        Driver "kbd"
        Option "XkbRules" "xorg"
        Option "XkbModel" "pc104"
        Option "XkbLayout" "us"
EndSection

Section "InputDevice"
        Identifier "Configured Mouse"
        Driver "mouse"
EndSection

Section "Device"
        Identifier "Configured Video Device"
EndSection

Section "Monitor"
        Identifier "Configured Monitor"
EndSection

Section "Screen"
        Identifier "Default Screen"
        Monitor "Configured Monitor"
EndSection

Please help me on this.

Regards,
Joseph Kulandai.
