I have a form with a date field. I load jquery like this:

$(document).ready(function(){
$("#datepicker").datepicker({ altField: '#id_expires',altFormat: 'yy-mm-
dd', });
});
</script>
this works as it sets the date in the text input field and saves ok. Since it
defaults to current date, this is what I need. The problem arises when I edit
this form. Then a value is passed to #id_expires. I need to set the date
widget to that value - can not figure out how to do it.
