Thank you all, I got it to work as below, Photon + EC 1260: 1) sudo modprobe usbserial vendor=0×12d1 product=0×140b 2)Install usb_modswitch and libusb-dev(as http://www.draisberghof.de/usb_modeswitch/) 3)Change the usb_modswitch.conf in /etc and add my device vendor id and product id 4)sudo usb_modswitch 5)sudo wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf 6)added phone nummber, username and password(as http://cityblogger.com/archives/2009/04/09/tata-indicom-photon-and-reliance-netconnect-broadband-on-ubuntu ) 7)sudo wvdial I have written above steps ,so that it may help others.
