IMO, 'komban' sounds good and pretty apt too. The colloquial connotation is not rude... rather sarcastic or 'in-your-face' - hubris, as Larry Wall would call it? As for the use of Tamil, this list is to convey ideas regarding technology and linux and open source. If you try to inject your bigoted opinions into this then you are actually hijacking the very purpose of this thread. I feel the very idea that this is a 'Tamil Nadu' based list is retrograde. This is the web... _THE WEB_ meaning no boundaries. So, if you want to erect artificial boundaries.... you are free to do it... but more liberal minded among us will see to that this parochialism does not succeed. We only ask you to prefix the subject with the word 'TAMIL' so that non tamil users can easliy filter it. But your stubborn refusal to do that only means your agenda is at cross purposes with this lists'. But then... we can only request you to follow the policies. Being a jerk is not against the law! regds, mano _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, email ilugc-requ...@ae.iitm.ac.in with "unsubscribe <password> <address>" in the subject or body of the message. http://www.ae.iitm.ac.in/mailman/listinfo/ilugc
