this is not the Linux Users Group of the State of Tamilnadu. It is the Chennai 
chapter of the Indian Linux Users Group. India is a country with around 35 
major languages and hundreds of minor languages. And, except for a few 
fanatics in a few cities, a country which enjoys this linguistic diversity and 
is very tolerant of other languages. Tamilnadu in general and Chennai is 
particular has always been known for this tolerance. I am unable to recall a 
single instance or language riots and agitations (apart from the anti-hindi 
agitation, which was not targetted against hindi speaking people, but against 
certain policies of the central government.
