Dear luggies,
On behalf of ILUGC RaviJaya and myself did a two day workshop in Velammal
College of Engg and Tech at Madurai. The event was organised by the MCA dept
with support from NRCFOSS.
We cover philosophy,installation, basics of gui, programming using scripting
languages.
About 100 students attended out of which about 30 are from nearby colleges.
The response was very good and I am extremely satisfied with there interest..
In one of very few colleges (in my experience) where faculty was totally
involved. Indeed they sat through the entire session and beyond to ensure that
installation is done in the lab. The college is fortunate to have such faculty.
On behalf of ILUGC I thank the management, faculty and students for the
opportunity. My special thanks and appreciation goes the Lecturers Ms.Kavitha
and Ms.Avanija for their involvement.
I thank NRCFOSS for taking lead in organising this.
