Contrary to "dwww" this service will have manpages for packages which are not locally installed on your machine. For example, while looking at the manpage for x (which is a binary in X) it refers you to the manpage for y (which is in package Y). Now if you have X installed but not Y, then you don't know whether installing Y will really help you solve your problem. With the online version you can actually see the manpage for y without installing Y.
