Job Description :
Red Hat has requirement for Technical Support Engineer (GNU/Linux) with strong
focus on support of Red Hat Desktop & Workstation platform including support
for Virtualisation (Xen/KVM).
The role requires capability & skills to debug issues up to source level around the
Linux X-Server & Linux Desktop Window Environments (Gnome/KDE) including common desktop
applications like Evolution & Firefox.
Requirements :
2+ years of demonstrated experience in core Linux systems support with good
focus on desktop issues (including desktop linux applications) along with at
least 6 months of relevant experience with development tools and tool-chain on
Linux/Unix.
Passion to get all sorts of user/desktop hardware working under linux,
knowledge of Qt/Gtk and contributions within open-source community projects
would be strong plus.
