Free space in your harddisk) You can estimate that by following the harddisk cylinders in fdisk. You need to play safe here , else you can loose your data. After Ubuntu installation I used testdisk <http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk>to recover the NTFS partitons and other linux partitions I had earlier.
