Do you really think bus stop names are written in "English" in Bangalore
(or) Hyderabad (or) for that matter in the NCR? I dont think so. I however
agree with you about traffic signs only in Tamizh. I hope that at the least
they would have marked the proper traffic symbols along with the
instructions.

As for knowing the bus stop name...You could just ask people in the bus stop
for the name of the stop while waiting to board a bus and I believe the
conductor in the bus always shouts the name of the stop at every bus stop,
for you to get down at the correct stop.

I know for a fact that situation is even worse in places like Delhi. Bombay
is different because of the fact that some huge percentage of the population
in that city is from outside maharashtra and hence all things "English" is a
given.
