I am dumping everything to him.. and its not that he is not interested..
the truth is that he dont know anything about computers, except for
browsing.. he came to me, just to learn something..

You see.. before he gets used to windows, i am training him on Linux/FOSS
..

/**obviously , you are dumping too many things on him .how he can learn
 HTML ,
php , database in such a short time ? This is the reason why students treat
FOSS as a Alien :P . Dont force them to learn foss rather attract them to

Dumping means, making a person sit in front of you, and read everything..
(the one that's happening in schools and colleges)..
What i did was to align myself to his interest (IPL matches), and use that
as a theme for him to learn technologies..

He is not actually learning html, php exclusively.. rather, he is doing a
job of his interest (ie designing a site for IPL score), and in that process
learning html, php etc.. (i havent started database yet :) )

ie, instead of simply knowing things, he is learning how to apply those
things in real time..

Btw, forcing is not all that bad.. My father forced me to a computer course
in my 6th & 7th annual leave... that provided a basis (like variables,
arrays etc) for me learn pick up programming..
