BUT IT WILL BE IN THE AFTERNOON BEFORE WINDS GET THIS STRONG ON THE SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA DESERTS. WINDY CONDITIONS TO USHER IN VERY COLD AIRMASS ALONG NORTHWEST CALIFORNIA LATE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING. STRONG WINDS TODAY WILL BRING DRIER AIR AND LOW DEW POINTS TO THE COASTLINE LATE TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY MORNING. THIS SYSTEM WILL BE ACCOMPANIED BY WEST AND SOUTHWEST WINDS. THE SNOW LEVEL WILL CONTINUE TO LOWER TO AROUND 3000 FEET BEFORE SUNRISE. LOWER SNOW LEVELS ARE POSSIBLE IN THE STRONGEST SHOWERS. A FAST MOVING COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE FORECAST AREA EARLY THIS MORNING. DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A DEVELOPING BAND OF MODERATE TO LOCALLY HEAVY SHOWERS ACROSS SOUTHWEST SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY AND OFFSHORE. SCATTERED SHOWERS WILL AFFECT THE COUNTY DURING THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. GUSTING AT TIMES TO BETWEEN 40 AND 50 MPH DURING THE DAYLIGHT HOURS TODAY. SINCE THERE WILL BE THE POTENTIAL FOR DAMAGING WIND GUSTS OVER 60 MPH. WITH WIND GUSTS OVER 60 MPH EXPECTED. A STRONG PACIFIC COLD FRONT WILL PUSH EAST ACROSS THE AREA EARLY TODAY. A HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 11 AM PDT WEDNESDAY. AND THERE IS ALSO A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS. WITH WIND SPEEDS OVER 40 MPH AT BOTH THE LOST HORSE OBSERVATION SITE AND IMPERIAL AIRPORT AFTER MIDNIGHT. A LATE SEASON COLD PACIFIC STORM WILL AFFECT CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TONIGHT AND TUESDAY. AN UPPER LEVEL LOW CROSSING THE NORTHWEST OREGON COAST SWEPT A STRONG COLD FRONT THROUGH NORTHWEST CALIFORNIA OVERNIGHT. A WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM THIS MORNING TO 6 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON. UNSTABLE CONDITIONS AND COLD TEMPERATURES ALOFT HAVE BROUGHT SNOW LEVELS DOWN TO PASS LEVEL THIS MORNING. STRONG WINDS OVER DESERT AREAS COULD RESULT IN BRIEFLY LOWERED VISIBILITIES TO WELL UNDER A MILE AT TIMES IN BLOWING DUST OR BLOWING SAND.
