The Jeremy McIntyre team races is sailed in memory of Jeremy who perished in an
avalanche while back country skiing. Jeremy was a Stanford student, a college
sailor, a skier and most importantly a friend to all. He is missed. We sailed
lots of good races and had some big laughs in his honor.

Day 1 of the McIntyre team race brought interesting conditions. We started the
day with a light 5 kt SE breeze that held on for most of the morning and ended
the day with a NW 21 kt breeze. We had a small delay in the morning but then
raced all day getting in the whole first round and 9 races into the second
round. There was one protest heard resulting in both teams getting DSQ. A big
thank you to Coach Clinton Hayes and his crew of Stanford undergrads for
running races. A big thanks to Bryan McDonald and his totally awesome umpire
crew for keeping racing fair and moving. More racing on tap tomorrow!
