Participating Schools:

Fordham and our Co-Host Columbia are delighted that you will be
participating in this historic event, which was inaugurated in 1955. While
report time is 9:00 AM, Bagels with plain, scallion and veggie cream
cheese, plus OJ from H&H Bagels on Second Avenue will be served from 8:30 -
9:15 AM both days.

Following racing on Sunday, we encourage all teams to stay for the awards
presentation of the original Jesuit Cup, which remains on display in the
Vincent T. Lombardi Memorial Center on Fordham's beautiful Rose Hill
campus. A take-home plaque, which rotates from winner to winner annually
will also be presented. Tufts won it last year. To encourage all teams to
spend an extra 15-20 minutes before departing for home, we guarantee one of
the all-time great taste sensations of your life...a slice of the world's
greatest cheesecake from S&S Bakery in the Bronx. Even Grandma's won't
compare!

During your visit, we ask your cooperation, as follows:

1. The main float, the one we use for boat rotations and which faces
Eastchester Bay, was destroyed in a storm that passed over City Island two
weeks ago. Therefore, we shall be using a small dinghy float, which is
adjacent to the large boat-hauling lift on the side of the property facing
Long Island Sound. Due to the long and very narrow walkway and ramp leading
to the float, sailors rotating into the next division should line up in
order of the boats returning to the float. Please pay attention to the
order of returning boats, and when they come to the float, rotate
immediately. You may then sail to the end of the Tiki Bar pier to receive
coaching assistance.

The float can accommodate four boats at a time, two on each side. Boats
returning to the float are requested to luff up 30'-40' away and replace
boats leaving the dock in an orderly fashion. This will prevent damage to
the Columbia & Fordham boats and allow for a fast and smooth boat rotation,
and the maximum number of races possible.

Fordham sailors will be on the float to assist and your cooperation with
them will be very much appreciated.

2. We are guests of the board and members of Morris Yacht & Beach Club. How
we and our guests behave at events such as this can effect our relationship
with the club so we ask the following:
a) Upon arrival, park where directed by the Fordham greeter.
b) Change clothes in the restrooms only. Do not change outside your
vehicle. An unnamed team ignored this request last weekend and we received
criticism at last night's MY&BC board of directors' meeting.
c) Do not leave your bags and other items on the lawn, against the side of
the clubhouse, the lockers or your van. All gear must remain in your
vehicle.
d) Garbage should be placed in bins located throughout the area.
d) No frisbee, football or other ball throwing on the property

3. Except for the restrooms. which are located under the club's deck,
sailors are not permitted inside the clubhouse. However, you are free to
enjoy the day from the lawn, the seawall and the Tiki Bar pier, which
provide terrific spectating opportunities. In the event of rain, there is a
huge tent on the grounds. Sailors and guests are invited to take protection
under it. When open, the clubhouse restaurant will be available to your
adult guests, who are not in foul weather garb.

4. Coaching is permitted from the end of the Tiki Bar pier and the adjacent
club launch dock.

5. Following the Competitors' Meeting, teams assigned to Columbia boats
will be transported to City Island Yacht Club, which is a short distance
away.

For those with GPS, the address for Morris Yacht & Beach Club is:
25 City Island Avenue
Bronx, NY 10464

On behalf of Columbia Coach Will Brown, Fordham Coach Reed Johnson and the
sailors of both schools, we thank you for participating and look forward to
a terrific weekend of sailing.
