The 2011 ICSA Nationals are just around the corner and we have a few quick announcements before the racing begins.
First, we have some exciting news to announce regarding the women's clinic scheduled for May 25th-26th. On May 9th ISAF announced its slate of classes to be sailed in the 2016 Olympics. For the first time, a women’s skiff class will be included in the Olympic games. On the heals of this announcement, NWICSA, CGRA and the 29er Class have planned a clinic focused on introducing some of the nation’s best female collegiate sailors to this new and exciting format. The clinic will be open to all sailors that do not qualify for the Sperry Top-Sider / ICSA Women's Finals. Head coach Jen Morgan-Glass will have a team of skiff sailors and coaches on site and will lead drills and racing for all interested sailors. Second, there are still a few teams that have not registered yet. Please visit 2011nationals.collegesailing.info/competitors-info/registration/ and follow the corresponding link. We are still waiting on Women's registration for: University of Wisconsin, Fordham and University of Rhode Island. There are even more teams that have not registered for the Team Race and Co-ed events. Last, we have some great banquets planned for each of the championship events. In order to get an accurate count on how many people will be in attendance, we are asking that sailors, coaches, parents and friends purchase their extra banquet tickets ahead of time.
