College Sailors, Coaches, Fans, and Supporters,
The US Sailing Center - Long Beach and University of Southern California are very excited to host the ICSA Eastern and Western Semi-Finals on April 30 and May 1, 2011. We have built an event website that has an extensive amount of information: http://2011semis.collegesailing.info/ We'd like to encourage everyone to spend some time going through the documents on the website. Below are a few pressing items that need the attention of the coaches and competitors: Online Registration The deadline for online registration with payment via credit card is April 25, 2011. Sooner is better! Pre-order T-shirts and Food Packages Pre-ordered T-shirts are available at the discounted price of $12 at the time of registration or individual orders can be placed independently via the event website. To ensure receiving the discounted price orders must be completed by April 25, 2011. A very limited number of T-shirts may be available at the event and will be sold for $18. 6 meal packages are included with the entry fee. Additional meal packages are available at the time of registration as well as the event website. We'd like to encourage the coaches/team captains to purchase the additional meal packages as needed for their team at the time of registration. We'd also like to encourage that all participants that are expecting fans (family, friends, parents) to attend the regatta in support of their teams to send the fans to the website to purchase food packages and t-shirts in advance. Hotel We have arranged for a block of discounted rooms just a few minutes away at the Ayres Hotel in Seal Beach. Follow the link and enter the Group/Promo Code: USSC. Rooms should be priced at $99/per night with the promotional code. This is a VERY nice hotel with pool and Jacuzzi plus included full breakfast each morning. The hotel is owned and operated by sailors! More than 2 per room register as "kids".
