A wild day on the Thames today with an easterly breeze that built from
6-12 in the morning to 15-25 in the afternoon. Ten races in A-Division
and eight in B-Division were completed before racing was called for the
day. All courses were W-4. Thanks to Liz Powers (Harvard '10) and Kate
Hagemann (Yale '09) for judging on the water. There were no protests
and no yellow flags. Along with Liz and Kate, Danny Rabin (Brown) and
Matt Lindblad (MIT) also assisted with rescues/damage control. They
will all receive their Coast Guard rescue boat qualification at
tomorrow's awards ceremony. ISCA Rep John Storck III (Dartmouth) was a
huge help, especially making key suggestions when my mind was clearly
elsewhere. The all freshman/sophomore crew of Coast Guard Bears did a
great job with race committee, getting in eighteen quality races in
tough conditions.

The Brown Bears are leading the charge going into tomorrow. The
forecast looks like we have another fun challenge in store!
