Twelve teams competed at the 2009 Navy Small Keelboat Promotional Regatta on October 24 & 25, 2009. Saturday brought temperatures in the 60's with intermittent rain showers and SSW winds ranging from 15-20 knots throughout the day. Sunday was clear and cooler, in the 50's, and NNW winds ranging from 8-12 knots. Both days were extremely shifty and unstable breezes. Despite the diverse conditions, the first place team was able to win 7 of the 12 races completed.
