The College of Charleston announces the opening for the position of Assistant Sailing Coach. The Women's and Coed Sailing Teams reside within the Department of Athletics and enjoy a tradition of excellence in college sailing. This is a full time, 10 month appointment with full benefits. The appointment begins August 15, 2006. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, plannig and assisting in daily practice for both women's and coed teams, administering home events, traveling to and coaching at regattas, recruiting, assisting in the maintenance of our fleet of collegiate dinghies. Applicants should have a collegiate racing background and coaching experience at the youth and/or college level, expert knowledge of the rules of racing, and should be able to use innovative and effective coaching techniques.
