FINAL RESULTS
REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
Saturday: The seabreeze came in the late morning from the south at 5-10 knots
for most of the day with temps in the low 70's. The last A and B sets were
sailed in everything from E/SE back to south from 3-6 knots with strong current
and cooling temps. All courses were Gold Cups. 4 protests all disallowed.
Very close racing to continue tomorrow, especially between 3rd through 9th
places, only separated by 13 points.
Sunday: Racing began in a quick dying Northerly for 2 races. Postponement on
land from 11:30am til 2:30pm. Seabreeze came in at around 2:45pm starting at
5-8 knots from the South and quickly building to 15 knots by the last B set.
Congrats to Brown, Boston College, Dartmouth, and Harvard for qualifying for
the ICSA Dinghy National Championship at the College of Charleston. Very, very
close racing throughout. No protests or breakdowns.
Thanks to judges PJ Schaeffer, Joel Hanneman (Saturday), and Steve Kirkpatrick
(Sunday) and to all the Brown sailors who helped out on and off the water.
