REGATTA HIGHLIGHTS:
Day 1 - Light conditions with winds from the SW. Very cold with a high
temperature of only 25 degrees. Racing in the morning was delayed
slightly
while teams and volunteers worked to free halyards and main sheets that
were frozen into the bottoms of the 420s. Defending Champion BC grabbed
an early lead and did not relinquish all day.
Day 2 - Much warmer temperatures today. The temperature as racing
began
was already warmer than the high temperature on Friday. Unfortunately
the
winds were not as cooperative with only 7 total races completed. The
fore-
cast for Sunday calls for 15-20 which will hopefully allow the
remainder of
the racing to be completed.
Day 3 - Despite predictions for 15-20, the wind never exceeded 8kts all
day
11 A and B division races were completed for the regatta in grey but
warm
conditions with a shower or two thrown in. Champion Boston College
sailed
a nearly flawless regatta with a worst race of 6.
