Hi,

Does using apply rules make a difference in the internal representation
of the Icinga configuration and consequently in the runtime performance,
as opposed to a long plain configuration, where everything is fully
spelled out? I ask because I programmatically generate my Icinga
configuration, so expanding everything is not a problem, even
preferable, because it keeps all the logic in one place and language.
Or does Icinga just "applies" everything during startup and arrives at
the same internal representation as when parsing an already "applied"
configuration? Are there maybe other factors to consider?
