icinga2-2.8.2-14.1.x86_64
SLES12SP3

Hi,

im playing around with icinga2 that it should restart a service after
it went down.
In principle this is working. If the service is in a soft state event
handler executes the script and is starting the service.
But im having special situation.
I want to monitor a email server what is shut down for the backup.
Sometimes it comes not up after the backup and i want to let start it
from icinga2.
But when icinga2 processed the max_check_attempts it´s switching to a
hard starte and then the event handler is not executed anymore. I can
see this in the log.
Is this a desired behavior? Or what i have to configure that it even
fire in hard state?

Thank you.

Regards,

Kai

There won't be any further updates from my side, some company killed
all my
motivation and none of them is still working on debmon, regardless that
they
can if they want.
