The issue is that we get under Icingaweb2 ui error for those some clients some ok as follows "CHECK_NRPE: Socket timeout after 10 seconds" , on the client monitored side all seems ok agent is up and running , when we try to run manually from server console the command to check problematic host apear under icingaweb2 ui, all seems to be OK. running check_nrpe: /usr/lib/nagios/plugins/check_nrpe -H 192.10.10.158 -c processmetrics -a "-n daletservice -w @75:80 -c @80: -a 192.10.10.161" produce normal answer: PROCESSLOAD OK - WorkingSet is 4.971e+04kB |'Availability'=1;;1;0;1 'ElapsedTime'=2766s;;;0;2147483647 'HandleCount'=512;;;0;16744434 'PageFaultsPersec'=0;;;0;2000000 'PercentPrivilegedTime'=0;;;0;100 'PercentProcessorTime'=0%;;0;0;100 'PercentUserTime'=0%;;0;0;100 'ThreadCount'=42;;;0;3200 'VirtualBytes'=170652;;;0;8000000 'WorkingSet'=49712kB;;0;0;4000000 Please advise Thanks System details: Currently the Icingaweb2 version :2.1.2 icinga2 - The Icinga 2 network monitoring daemon (version: r2.4.1-1) Copyright (c) 2012-2015 Icinga Development Team (https://www.icinga.org) License GPLv2+: GNU GPL version 2 or later < http://gnu.org/licenses/gpl2.html> This is free software: you are free to change and redistribute it. Given that a host and service is unique, does your documentation really depend on the hostgroup? ================================================ ==========================Reply================== While hostname + service is a unique combination, the number of hosts having the same check can be too many. Just like in configuration, we associate service documentation to hostgroups, as associating it with individual hosts is not practical. So the documentation system identifies only a map between hostgroups and services. If we have to settle for hostname+service combo, we will need an intermediary system to find out the associated hostgroups for that host and forward the request to the corresponding documentation Regards ~SAfeer SA by default On Thu, May 5, 2016 at 1:25 AM, Safeer CM <safee...@riva.co> wrote: > Greeting icinga users, > > I am trying to create a notes_url for every check which will point > back to my internal documentation site.
