I'm trying to move my icinga2 implementation into being chef managed using LWRP but frankly, I'm too new with Chef to also tackle the learning curve that is the chef-icinga2 cookbook.
Can anyone provide a really basic example implementation of using the ohai info to create host configuration values? Nearly 100% of my service checks are based on check_wmi_plus using an apply rule to Windows hosts. If I could fetch all of my hosts and fqdn from chef and build the equivalent hosts.conf, updating my configuration would be a snap. Anyone have any pointers for a beginner on LWRP?
