Hi, I'm just setting up Icinga2 and was wondering about the best way to monitor network devices (switches, routers, firewalls, APs). I know: SNMP, but which plugins are you using for SNMP monitoring?
I need interface status and traffic, health data (fans power supplies, ...), memory, CPU, ... In previous setups I used check_mk, which does not support Icinga2 (and is not aware of IPv6, so I can't use it in my environment). I tried interfacetables[1] and check_nwc_health[2] Interfacetables works great for the interface data but cause high cpu load on the monitoring server and check_nwc_health looks really promising but the CPU load is even higher. Test environment: 18 Switch with 24 / 48 ports each, couple of wireless APs (ping only at the moment) , APU as monitoring host (for testing only at the moment) Jens [1] https://labs.consol.de/nagios/check_nwc_health/ [2] http://www.tontonitch.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=Nagios%20plugins%20-%20interfacetable_v3t -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Foelderichstr. 40 | 13595 Berlin, Germany | +49-151-18721264 | | http://blog.quux.de | jabber: jensl...@quux.de | --------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ icinga-users mailing list icinga-users@lists.icinga.org https://lists.icinga.org/mailman/listinfo/icinga-users
