Hi Markus and Daniel, It was not enclosed in "$" sign, I don't understand why it showed up with "$" sign in log. Also as newbie I am not aware on how to configure email notification for clients. I can post the snippet you want to analyze.
I have setup smtp relay, but i am not getting any notification mail from icinga.
