I installed mrtg and activated the perfdata stuff in icinga, and gathered some data over a period of about 12 hours. Here I will summarize it for you (5 minute averages):. Each parameter has three values: max, average, and current: * Service check latency: 0 (max), 0 (avg), 0 (current); execution time: 815 (max), 591 (avg), 527 (current) * Service: active check % change: 0, 0, 0; Passive check % change: 23, 21, 23 * Host check: latency: 0, 0, 0; execution time: 434, 210, 153 * Hosts actively check: 620 (max), 108 (avg), 7 (current) * Services actively checked: 1061 (max), 652 (avg), 673 (current) * Services passively checked: 3, 1, 1 * External command buffers: Total: 4096, 4088, 4096. Used: 16, 0, 0 * Active host checks: Scheduled checks: 618 (max), 102 (avg), 0(current). On-demand checks: 57, 15, 27 * Active service checks: Scheduled checks: 1160, 665, 798. On-demand: 0, 0, 0 * Passive host checks: 0, 0, 0. Passive service checks: 30, 4, 6 * Cached host checks: 51, 13, 25 * Cached service checks: 0, 0, 0 * External commands: 46, 9, 19 * Parallel host checks: 620, 108, 2 * Serial host checks: 0, 0, 0 Some help interpreting these numbers would be appreciated.
