Which interface are you referring to? Icinga 2 supports an external
command doing so. Other than that, you can either configure it globally,
or just run 'icinga2-disable-feature notification' (considering you're
using the default features).

Sorry for the delay in responding. I am using icinga2 with icinga-web.
I should be able to use the icinga2-disable-feature notification in a pinch.
